16 weeks belly pics

here we are at 16 weeks!

I can't believe we're at 16 weeks already!  Seems like just yesterday we found out that this little one is coming.  And I guess on the other hand it feels like forever sometimes...  I am already going stir-crazy to meet this little one!  (I know...  I know...  patience, right?  I'm working on it.  It's not like I have a choice in the matter!)

I hate it.  Everything about it.  Always have.  

But apparently this baby disagrees with me, because it is the only thing I truly crave.  All the time, every day.  I even wake up in the middle of the night wanting a glass of milk (if only the fridge wasn't so far away from my bed!).  

Every time I pour myself a glass, I cringe...  until I start drinking it.  Amazing!  Satisfies like nothing else can.  And every time I set down my glass when I am done, I wonder again how I could have done such a gross thing as drink a whole glass of milk!  I suppose I could say that this means my body probably needs calcium right now, and that would explain it, but the things I normally love - yogurt, cheese, ice cream! - are just nowhere near milk on the cravings scale.  To me, this is about as weird as eating dirt or whatever else people sometimes feel compelled to do when pregnant!

And so now writing this I am feeling the need to go have another glass of milk (horrors!)... even though I just finished one right before I sat down!  :o)

Navy Comment... God and babies!

This one is quite possibly the funniest I have heard in a long time!

Scene:  Navy and I are home alone and he comes downstairs, very serious, to tell me something.

Navy - "Hey, guess what?"

me - "What?"

Navy - "God spoke to me last night."

(remember, Navy is saying all this very seriously with a straight face.)

me - "Oh really?  What did He say?"

Navy - "We're having a boy!"  

me - "huh!"

(dramatic pause by Navy and then a smile...)

Navy - "I'm just kidding!" 

Where does he come up with this stuff, seriously?!?  Oh and in case you couldn't figure it out, he has been praying for a little brother every night.  If we are having a girl, it is going to take some time to get him used to that idea!!  ;o)
